We are living in very turbulent times and, perhaps more than ever in our lifetimes are being called to realize the power of integrity’. For only this will unlock the expansion of human consciousness needed to get us through the challenges of our age.

The integrity of the collective is only as good as the integrity of the individual, so this is primarily an individual calling to pay attention to the integrity of our words and actions.

Irrespective of worldly worth or talent, not one of us has anything of value to contribute to the world, except through the integrity of our word and deed.

This is not just a matter of opinion! The Singular Source of All exists in an eternally sustainable way because it exists as a state of unconditional structural Integrity. It is the fundamentally non-negotiable structure of existence. It is not subject to views and opinions of what it means or whether it has value.

Heart centred integrity carries the expansionary energy of creation. Lack of integrity has no true creative power and can only contract back into itself.

Integrity is an attribute almost globally claimed yet rarely practiced. Examples abound, many evident in the immediate spotlight where integrity is falsely boasted and doubly defended!

The values of human experience always have a relative orientation to the fundamental integrity of existence. In a worldly sense this is reflected in the realm of ‘ethics’. Whist there are many theories and debates about what ethical principles ought (or ought not) mean; ‘ethics’ can only truly reflect the point at which the values and laws governing human existence intersect with the immutable Universal laws.

As such, the fundamental ‘rights’ of every being (human or otherwise) reflect the inherent integrity,  equality and unconditionality of the Singular Source of All.

To lack integrity is to refuse to be accountable for the words and actions we sow in our lives. There are many reasons for this: feeling disconnected, unworthy, powerless, incapable… Yet all these boil down to believing ourselves victim to our circumstance.

Yet this is utterly impossible! We may perceive ourselves to be the victim of our circumstances and the words and actions of others, but because reality is indivisibly interconnected we cannot really be victim to any other…

What is certain is that you and I are the only ones who can be responsible for making new and better choices for our lives, which is why the development of ever increasing levels of integrity is key to the spiritual path.

The truth of who we are can only be discerned through heart centred integrity. In the axiom ‘to thine own Self be true’ is the recognition that the true self resides in the unconditional Integrity of the Divinely Singular All.

With love and blessings, Andrew Solomon
